Have you ever wished you had someone to tell you what to do in life? Someone who could guide you through every decision? A person who was wise, had your best interest at heart, could be reached anytime, and didn't cost a thing.
Are you shouting yes?
Good, because I'm about to tell you where I found mine and you can, too.
For a long time, I had no clue about the Holy Spirit. I secretly envied people who seemed to have that close real relationship with Jesus. Like He was a best friend they talked to and heard from. Was something wrong with me that I didn't possess that? (More detail on this is in my free ebook, which you receive when you subscribe)
Luke 11:13 you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?
If you don't feel like you know God as a person, have never truly felt His presence or heard His voice, then you need to ask Him to reveal the Holy Spirit to you.
God always keeps His promises.
Last week I shared How to Keep God on Facebook and the story of my struggle with someone hurtful.
This whole week, I've been trying to get past the anger I still feel towards this person. I keep asking God to please take it away. I know I'm to forgive, I just wrote an entire post on it, but I'm struggling.
Are you tired of fighting things away? I am.
This morning, my pastor said something powerful. And the Holy Spirit shot it straight to my heart.
Instead of fighting things away to get in God's presence, get in His presence and He'll get rid of the things you're fighting.
To get in God's presence, we need the help of the Holy Spirit. It's why Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit when He went to be with God in heaven.
You have a personal life coach and He's available every and any time you need Him. You can get to know Him better by prayer, reading your Bible, and listening to songs. God promises if you ask for Him, He will come.
Mind if we pray?
Dear Jesus,
I pray that you would touch the lives of those who are reading this. Let this be the moment that they ask to see more of you. Let our spiritual eyes and ears be opened to you and your ways, Lord. Let us seek your counsel and not that of the worlds, so that we may live with your peace and joy in our hearts. In Jesus name, Amen.
Do you always seek God first? In the heat of the moment, how do you keep a godly heart and head? How have you seen the Holy Spirit work in your life?

I’m visiting your blog for the first time from The Better Mom. I really liked your post. I was just reading in 1 Cor. 2 this morning how the Holy Spirit guides us and gives us wisdom. I had never thought of Him being a life coach before. Love it!
Blessings~

Thanks, Shari. I’m so glad you stopped by. I’m doing an intense study on the Holy Spirit right now. There is so much I didn’t know and I’m fascinated by what an awesome gift He is to us. Our God is good!
