Description

Stayed soft for 7 days, no drying out. Handmade in the USA, lined with beeswax.

Why we switched:
Our original bread bags were linen and made overseas. These new ones are handmade right here in the USA, in Vermont, lined with beeswax, and they simply work better. I put one to the test myself with a cut loaf, and the bread stayed soft for a full seven days in the bag without drying out. That was all the convincing I needed to make the change.

Keep your bread the way it was meant to be kept, in cloth, not plastic. The organic cotton lets your loaf breathe so the crust stays crisp, and the beeswax lining holds in just enough moisture that the inside stays soft. Reusable for years, then compostable at the end of its long life.

  • Handmade in Vermont, USA
  • Made with GOTS-certified organic cotton
  • Beeswax lining so bread stays fresh, not dried out
  • Reusable for years, then fully compostable
  • From a Certified B Corporation
  • Roomy enough for a full artisan loaf or a couple of baguettes

  1. Laura – April 14, 2023

Could someone tell me where these linen bread bags are manufactured? I'm looking for bags that are NOT made in China.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi Laura, great question, and good news: these are now handmade in Vermont, USA, from GOTS certified organic cotton, not made in China. We upgraded the bags for exactly this reason. Blessings, Melissa

Thank you for making all the info so simple and straight forward. I don’t want to spend all day trying to figure out what will maybe work, or to time consuming, etc. Love kitchen gadgets. Keep them coming. God bless you for being a servant and sharing what you can for free. After all we don’t have a lot to spend, but you have a lot of cost to get these videos out and recoup so you can continue. Again thank you for letting God use you in sharing all he gives you.

I love all Melissa’s products. I bought her “Made from Scratch” book and the Bread Bag. I’m now purchasing her tea towels for making and raising my breads.
Her products are well made with the highest quality. Her approach to healthy living is simple and easy to follow. My body would have an allergic reaction when ever I bought store breads.
Not now! I make all my own breads and my body thanks me for it. No more allergic reactions!
    Thank you Melissa!

  5. Monica (verified owner) – November 11, 2021

Finally a bread bag that is large enough for my artisan loaves and well as my sandwich loaves. And not so thin that it feels like it will fall apart. NICE sturdy fabric and the color is great!
