- What equipment you actually need to be successful in keeping your hive alive and thriving.
- Handling demonstration with proper technique (without gloves).
- Understanding bees and your relationship with them as the beekeeper (hive labor and roles)
- Necessary food needs for your hive to survive and thrive.
- How to raise bees successfully and be equipped with the resources to do so confidently.
- Getting through your first year keeping your hives alive.
- Pest management- especially management for the varroa mite (the cause of most hive deaths)
- How to harvest honey.

- Observation hive on-site (enclosed, no worries on getting stung).
Ticket is for one adult and includes a delicious from-scratch lunch on the farm.
