Ingredients
Pizza Crust
1cupwarm water
1Tablespoonolive oil
2teaspoonssugar
1Tablespoonyeast
1/2teaspoondried oregano
1/2teaspoondried basil
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
2 3/4cupflour
Sauce
1package softened cream cheese
1/4cupminced onion
1cloveminced garlic
1/4teaspoondried dill
1/4teaspoondried chives
1/2cupyogurt or mayonnaise
Mix all these together and spread over pizza dough
Toppings
1grilled chicken breastdiced
3slicescooked baconcrumbled
sliced mushrooms to taste
1/2sliced zucchinislice very thin or it won’t cook all the way through, I used a mandolin
1 to 2cupsgrated Queso Fresco Mexican cheeseor mozzarella
Marinated artichoke hearts are really good too!
Instructions
For crust combine yeast and water in bowl until yeast is dissolved. Mix oil, sugar, and seasonings in small bowl. Add to yeast and water, mix, then add in flour. Knead for 8 minutes on lightly floured surface and allow to rise for 1 hour. I use the top of the fridge, it’s warm and draft free.
Roll out on pizza stone. Smear sauce over top of crust. Layer toppings. We've also used sliced mozzarella with great success instead of grating as well.
