This fried apples recipe is gluten free and paleo, a delicious snack or dessert
- 1 organic apple-I prefer Gala or Fuji
- 1 teaspoon ceylon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon powdered sugar (optional)
- ¼ finely chopped pecans
- 1 Tablespoon coconut oil
Heat coconut oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat.
Slice your apple. Lay apple slices in the pan.
Cook 2 to 3 minutes each side until just turning golden brown.
Sprinkle spices, nuts, and sugar (optional) on top. Try not to inhale them all at once or you’ll burn your tongue.
Leave off the sugar if doing paleo but the small amount you dust on makes them delicious!
