I have a hard time throwing something away if I can remake it into something reusable. T-shirts are one of those items. You can make ruffles, no sew scarfs, or a whole new shirt. In the pioneer spirit where everything was reused, I decided to tackle this shirt.
I had a black women’s medium t-shirt I’d picked up for $3.
With a few snips of the scissors, some twists, a few stitches under the arms, I had a new top in 10 minutes.
Here’s how I cut the front.
The back drooped too much, so underneath the arms I had to take it in a little bit. Only took a few stitches. I had a pink flower hair clip and clipped it on the shirt for some added pop of color and design.
This was a quick project. Here’s the original tutorial I followed.
What’s your favorite re-purposed item?
