Winners of Heirloom Tarheel Green Bean Seed

Share It!

Yes, you read that right, winners. I truly wish I had enough seed to give everyone who entered a packet. I promise to let two plants go to seed so next spring I have enough for everyone. (If you haven’t, click on the sign me up button on my home page so you don’t miss future giveaways! I try to run about one a month.)

However, I asked my mom if she had any extra seed. Now, instead of one winner, we have FIVE!

The winners are:

1. Johnna

2. Lindsay Horne

3. Jaimee Porter

4. Sherrie Lou

5. Coni

Congrats! Winners please email me your mailing address at

melissaknorris(at)juno(dot)com and put Seed Winner in the subject line.

I put my order in for all heirloom seeds in my garden this year and can’t wait to share tasty recipes, gardening, and preserving fun with you. I want to thank everyone who participated and I look forward to getting to know you.

Blessings,

Melissa

  1. Congrats to the winners! I finally got most of my garden planted and was very excited to find some heirloom Brandywine tomato plants at the local co-op. Can’t wait to see how they turn out!

      • I’ll have to let you know how my Brandywines turn out. My favorite tomato down here in Louisiana are Creole tomatoes. We planted those last year and they were fabulous!! I planted those again, too, along with some Big Beef that my husband wanted to try. I think I’ll have enough tomatoes for the whole neighborhood!

        • Just wanted to post an update about the Brandywine tomatoes: they are amazing!!! I will definitely be planting them again next year. I highly recommend trying them out, if they are available in your area.

          • Thanks for the update, Gail! We got off to a very wet start, even or the Pacific Northwest, so my tomatoes are just blossoming right now. I can’t wait to begin the harvest. I’ve got the Brandywines down to try and start from seed next year.

    • The one awesome thing about us gardener’s is we like to share. I enjoy swapping favorites w/ neighbors and family. I used my second to last jar of stewed tomatoes making baked ziti last night. I plan on putting in a few more tomato plants this year so I have enough to make it til summer. I wonder if I can find Creole tomatoes up here. Sounds yummy!
